Shipped my wife’s car from GA to IL. Shopped around different brokers and was quoted upwards of $1400. Then CarHaulers 24/7 or Landing Pad reached out to me and gave me a relatively inexpensive quote. I was skeptical at first due to how cheap it was compared to the others. With some research, my mind was put at ease due to the company’s positive reviews. My wife’s car was delivered with the utmost care to Illinois 24hrs later. Thank you CarHaulers 24/7!

Landing Pad LLC (Carhauler247) provided awesome service. I had never shipped a car before and did not know what to expect. Being able to set your own price is so much less stressful than the bait and switch tactics I experienced with other brokers. Communication was easy and any questions were quickly answered via phone and text. The pictures provided at pickup and gps tracking kept me at ease with this unfamiliar process. My car was delivered safely by a reputable carrier that had a long history of positive reviews. I couldn’t be happier with the decision to trust landing pad LLC with my shipment.

I normally don’t review but I felt compelled to because everything went so smoothly from start to finish. Vlad was exceptionally professional in communicating with me every step of the way when I had questions. Car was transported in an enclosed trailer from MI to CA. I was more worried than usual as my new car was a bit pricier. The pickup included tons of pictures which put me at ease and also the carrier they used was very communicative as well, and even included GPS tracking data as they got close. I wouldn't hesitate to use CarHauler247 again in the future. The definitely put a good name to the car transport industry.

  • Notify the California DMV

    • Complete a Notice of Transfer and Release of Liability (NRL) online or via mail. This ensures you are no longer held liable for the vehicle's registration fees or any incidents involving the car after you leave California.
    • The NRL form can be completed on the California DMV website.
  • Register Your Vehicle in the New State

    • If the new state requires you to surrender your old plates when registering your vehicle, you can hand them over at the new state's DMV.
    • If not, you can keep your California plates as a souvenir.

About San Jose

  • Unicorn Traffic Problems: The tech boom brought unicorn startups-and enough traffic to make your morning commute feel like you're starring in your own personal slow-motion disaster movie.
  • High-Tech Traffic Lights: San Jose experimented with "smart" traffic lights that are supposed to reduce traffic jams. Let's just say the lights are smart, but the drivers? That's debatable!
  • Tech Capital, Not Great Wi-Fi: Despite being the heart of Silicon Valley, San Jose's public Wi-Fi isn't exactly what you'd expect from the tech capital of the world.
  • First High-Rise Debate: Residents have argued over building tall skyscrapers for years, fearing they might block the view of planes landing at the airport - or the mountains in the distance. Priorities!
  • It's Always "Chill": San Jose has an average of 300 sunny days a year, but locals still complain when it drops below 60℉-it's their version of "freezing."
  • World's Largest Monopoly Board: San Jose has a massive, playable Monopoly board in Guadalupe River Park. You can actually rent oversized dice and hats to play the game. No pressure if you land on Boardwalk!
  • It's the Biggest Small City: San Jose is the 10th-largest city in the U.S., but somehow still feels like a collection of neighborhoods with small-town vibes.
  • Garlic Rules Nearby: Just down the road in Gilroy, the "Garlic Capital of the World", San Jose residents can smell the Garlic Festival from miles away. It's their version of aromatherapy!

San Jose is a quirky, sunny, tech-filled city that embraces its unique charm and eccentricities. If you're in town, there's always something to laugh about!

About Dallas

  • Frozen Margarita Headquarters: Dallas is home to the invention of the frozen margarita machine. Priorities, people!
  • Speed Limit? Optional! The speed limit on Dallas highways is more of a "suggestion." If you're going the speed limit, you're probably getting passed by a grandma in a pickup truck.
  • Bigger is Always Better: Everything really is bigger in Texas, and Dallas takes it seriously. The city once built a giant cowboy hat so large it needed its own ZIP code (okay, not really - but close!).
  • Traffic Time Warp: Dallas drivers will tell you that every destination is "20 minutes away." This is a lie. Traffic can turn a 10-minute drive into an hour-long saga.
  • Weather Roulette: Dallas weather has a mind of its own. You can leave home in a sweater and need flip-flops by lunchtime—or vice versa.
  • State Fair of Texas Mascot: "Big Tex", the 55-foot-tall talking cowboy at the State Fair, greets visitors with a deep "Howdy, folks!" and is basically the city's unofficial mayor.
  • JFK Conspiracy Capital: The grassy knoll in Dealey Plaza is the home of endless JFK conspiracy theories. If you talk to the right people, you'll hear about at least five different "real" stories.
  • Parking Spot Safari: Finding parking in downtown Dallas can feel like an extreme sport. By the time you find a spot, you might forget where you were going.
  • Steakhouse Heaven: Dallas has so many steakhouses that even the cows are nervous. If you leave without eating a steak, were you even here?
  • Football is a Religion: In Dallas, "Sunday service" might mean church, but it's just as likely to mean watching the Cowboys play - and arguing about whether it's finally "their year."

Dallas is a city of big flavors, big personalities, and even bigger fun. Whether you're dodging traffic, eating your weight in BBQ, or debating conspiracy theories, there's always something to laugh about in Big D!

Insurance at a glance

Auto transport carriers are typically have cargo insurance $250,000+ per incident. If multiple vehicles are damaged in a single incident, this coverage is shared among all affected vehicles (a full truck can carry up to 9 cars).

COI (Certificate of Insurance) will be available on web site when truck is assigned - look for cargo coverage on the policy. Coverage order:
1. Carrier's cargo insurance - Primary coverage during transport
2. Your auto insurance - Secondary coverage if you have Comprehensive or Collision

Does my insurance cover my car during transport?
Check your auto policy for Comprehensive and Collision coverage. Many policies DO cover vehicles during professional transport, but some exclude it. If your policy covers it and you file a claim, your insurance company can pursue the carrier's insurance through subrogation (they pay you first, then recover costs from the carrier).

Important: Contact your insurance agent to verify whether your policy covers vehicles during commercial transport before shipping.
