Terms for using the CarHauler247 Quotes API
By registering for an API key or making a call to the CarHauler247 Quotes API, you agree to these API Terms of Service.
The CarHauler247 Quotes API requires a Bearer API key, has no rate limit, and is billed by volume as described below. Quotes can be priced by general vehicle body type, or precisely by trim using the optional trimId parameter (see the car lookup endpoints in the docs).
Every API v2 account gets 1,000 free calls, lifetime - not a monthly reset. No payment method is required to use your free calls.
Once your free calls are used up, a valid payment method must be on file to keep making calls. Without one, further calls are cut off immediately (402 Payment Required).
Usage past your free calls is billed once a month, in arrears, at the volume-tiered rates published on our pricing page. Rates may change for future usage; we won't change what's already been billed.
If a monthly charge fails, service continues for 7 days while we retry the charge daily. If it's still unresolved after that grace period, API access is suspended until payment succeeds.
Removing your payment method is treated as an immediate stop - unlike a failed charge, there is no grace period, and calls are blocked until a new payment method is added.
Your API key is a billing secret. Keep it server-side and never embed it in client-side or browser code. You're responsible for all activity made with your key. Contact us right away if a key is compromised so we can revoke it.
Use of the API must be for legitimate car shipping quote integrations. You may not: resell or sublicense raw API access as a competing product; use the API to build a competing pricing/quote database; or send excessive or abusive request volume beyond normal integration use.
The API is provided on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantee. We may update, version, or deprecate parts of the API with reasonable notice where practical.
We do not sell your data. Quote requests and responses are used to provide the service, for billing/metering, and to improve our pricing models.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising from your use of the API is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. The API and its data are provided "as is," without warranty that quotes are error-free or uninterrupted.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the API after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or the API shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA), before a single arbitrator in Santa Clara County, California, on an individual (non-class, non-representative) basis. Both parties waive any right to a jury trial. The prevailing party is entitled to reasonable attorney's fees and costs. Any claim must be filed within one (1) year of when it arose.
